The Caribbean Sprint is a shorter, tamer race as the bike course bypasses the famous hill climb called 'The Beast'. The St. Croix Ironman 70.3 will offer both Kona andClearwater slots in 2009. The race recently agreed toa multi-year extension with World Triathlon Corp., tocontinue to be one of the few Ironman 70.3 races togive its’ participants a chance to qualify for twoWorld Championship events.
Championships in Kona, HI and 40 slots to the Ironman70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, FL.
The St. Croix race features one of the most beautifulcourses in the sport, and the tropical early seasonconditions serve as excellent preparation for Kona, aswell as a great place to begin the racing season.
